crazybond700
I would put ATF in it (from those choises). I use lightgear oil from putoline myself. Maybe you can find it. For the fork oil, we cant say which is better, depends on setup, weight, what your needs are etc. Both are good, depending on what you want, thicker = more harder suspension. guys
Don't put car engine or manual gear oil in your bike. Besides ATF, GRO Gear Extreme 75W is also a very good oil and recommended by GasGas. Putoline and Elf also sell 75W light gear oil. spalado
How about Motul 75w-80 ???
crazybond700
Havent tried, but I think that would be better than your other 2 options (2 and 3). I would recommend Light gear oil by putoline. Where do you live?
spalado
I live in Thailand. Don't have Putoline and GRO.
guys
75W80 oil is usually much to thick for your clutch, might cause excessive drag and bad shifting. If you cant find none of the above, I would rather go for something like Castrol Power RS 5W40, in any case a specific motorcycle oil suited for wet clutches. Can't you order oil online? faussy
GOing to disagree with the above posts. I would not put ATF anywhere near a motorbike gearbox, even less a gasgas. Your clutch might like it, but i can assure you your gears and main bearings will not! Id use light gear oil of any brand, followed by a car engine oil. For me id use options 2 or 3 and ATF as a last resort. Your limiting factor will be your clutch, if you put the 75W motyl in and your clutch still clears, go for it Edited May 19, 2015 by faussy
guys
It wouldn't be the first time a motorcycle clutch starts slipping by using engine oils for cars.
