mozchops Posted September 15, 2005 Report Share Posted September 15, 2005 (edited) Hi people! just bought my lovely lady a fantic 250 section to have a go with and have a couple of questions i hope someone could answer. 1, The bike is black and orange anyone know what year this is? 2, The four wires coming from the stator plate are green,red,white and yellow. i take it the red and white go to the cdi unit but which port does the green go to and what is the yellow for? 3, How does the silencer fit onto the middle box someone told me it fixes using a rubber spacer is this true? 4, COMPRESSION i can turn the engine over by hand is this right or not? 5, What plug do people use and what mixture? any other help or advice would be of great help thanks mozchops Edited September 15, 2005 by mozchops Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

grib Posted September 17, 2005 Report Share Posted September 17, 2005 Green, red, and white wires go to CDI, terminals may be marked verde, rosso, & bianco, green is the trigger, red & white are power. There should also be a fourth terminal on the CDI (connected internally to the trigger terminal) which you can wire to the kill switch (other side of kill switch to ground). mozchops Posted September 19, 2005 Author Report Share Posted September 19, 2005 thanks for the help guys got a new plug and wired the bike up, got a spark great! but the thing will not start. A couple of back fires and a strong smell of petrol, the fuel tap has a slight leak so my thinking is that the crank is flooded any ideas?
