fivebrick
Fred I would call Ryan Young Products and get some info from him.
copemech
Are they putting the Kiehin on the 250 now?
michael_t
Mine has the Dell'Orto I figured all the 2015 250s did. Not sure what you mean by "fluffy".
sirdabalot
My friend is having a nightmare with his Sherco 290 fitted with a Kehein, running very inconsistently with intermittent rich/weak running. He said there's volumes of info on setting these up on forums. I suggested he test the Keheins aerodynamics and see how far it flies. Waiting now to see how it runs with his replacement Dellorto. fred 16
Thanks for wisdom, no it's not standard on 250, I've bought it as a "special". As for fluffy, there's a slight hesitation when you want to open it up from tickover.
cascao
Mine 300 has Keihin. Not the easyest to set but now runs greath. Much more easy to keep in rear wheel in 5th gear! (than my previous 2.9) <the air screw is only 1/4 to 1/2 turn> Edited June 16, 2015 by cascao
copemech
Check the jetting then, should be around 45/125. A 28 Kiehin is larger than the stock 26, and even though the carb works fine, it may be a tad on the large size for 250 when doing quick "whack" opens of the throttle. Do you ride like that? No, then no issue!
