ikb
Hi, My 242 is nearly finished and I was wondering what the best gearing is? It's the early version with the low primary gearing so when new would have 10 front and 38 back sprockets, when I got it it was 9 - 38 but I only rode it for a few minutes. I would rather not have a 9 on the front so maybe 10-40 or 42? Anyone out there with recommendations. Ian

robkeyzor
Can I have a picture of your kick starter. Mine seems to be fouling the brake and poping out of the casing. I think the peddle should perhaps be cranked out sideways perhaps, maybe mine is off another bike - or maybe I'm a worse mechanic than even I think! Regards. westyfield7
Hi ikb, are you still riding the 242? What gearing did you settle on? My own has the standard 10/38 but feel it's too high for modern twinshock trials.
