snowball
Trying to put the master back together after welding done but not sure if I'm missing something as the dot4 is not pushing through in the configuration I have. Any tips. Edited June 25, 2015 by snowball
guys
Maybe the welding warped or damaged the bore of the cylinder or blocked the tiny holes between the reservoir and the bore? Or maybe you just need a new repair kit? You need a new circlip anyway. And are you sure the ring belongs there? Can't remember ever seeing one in that place. snowball
Ok, thanks, will try without the ring and if not then new master it is.
arnoux
Throw the ring away, and get a new circlip. The ring would hold the piston in too deep in the bore and block the transfer port. Make sure you have some free play on the lever as well or the same problem will happen. This is critical to the proper operation of AJP master cylinders.
