alscott1984
Hi, I just bought this 250 txt, 2000 model. It's my first trials bike. The clutch drags when lever fully pulled in soothe bike is keeping forward? Any tips on adjustment or parts rat may need replacing? crazybond700
Check fluid level first, and there should be like 3mm of free play in the lever. When cold they have this problem somethimes, does it better when warm? Good oil can also have some effect.
alscott1984
Thanks mate, any recommendation on what oil to use? I think it gets slightly better when warm but still not right. Will change oil and go from there! Cheers
crazybond700
I use 10W40 in the old bikes but 5w30 (thinner) is recomended most I think (i need 10w40 for other bikes aswell). Use motorcycle oil which is made for wet clutches. Too thick oil might cause drag amongst other things. 650cc Edited June 30, 2015 by crazybond700
