sirdabalot
I've used a camelback 2 litre drink system rucksack, removed the bladder, then put in a 2 litre pop bottle full of pre mix. Still left room for butties, biccies and a Capri-sun juice pouch (with a straw, wa-hey). A word of caution though, the bananas and crisps didn't fare do well. It's also dodgy using a pop bottle for petrol, but I've had no issues in 20 years of doing so, as a bonus the neck of the bottle fits in the tank filler and it can be squashed flat to save space once empty. crazybond700
I never need it but i have a bottle from coleman (camping stuff) which I also use in the car for a gasoline stove. Something like this but bigger http://www.coleman.com/product/16-oz-aluminum-bottle/2000016355?contextCategory=Hydration#.VZuOT0ZJkuc You can cary it in a bag from camelback, those are quite comfortable and not in the way. crazybond700
or acerbis or Hebo had/had them. Edited July 7, 2015 by crazybond700
renegade master
yeah I have ordered a hebo tank for the front of the bike where the number plate goes, so because its a 1l capacity it means i can just bring one primus 1l fuel bottle in my rucksack which should give me more room for other stuff, tool kit, first aid, gps, food and rain jacket, seems like a lot of stuff to be carrying? I tryed putting the fuel bottles on the bike above tank but when going up steep hill climbs if you bend your knees the catch the bottles! billyt
Why not buy a quad if you want to haul stuff around? I take it you don't actually ride sections but rather explore?
jrsunt
Thats what Ewan Mcgregor should have used for doing "the long way round".
hanks
Hi, You can also get a large capacity fuel tank. I was wondering. Why do you need to carry so much fuel around? Tom
renegade master
Thanks guys for all your valuable information it's much appreciated! Ok first of all the area where I live is remote, littered with bad ass hills and cliffs everywhere even has the (highest sea cliffs in europe to be precise!) my nearest trials club were I can go to ride sections is 5hr drive away, so up super early drive 5hrs ride sections drive 5hrs home means knackered wrecked! so better option is to ride trials bikes here with a few mates and explore all the area has to offer! and most of the trial tracks we go on has everything you would find in observed section trials, so thats why im wondering about extra fuel and other supplys as just in case something happend way up a hill my score card would be no good to me! but extra fuel or a fa kit would! normal days trial is about 6hrs and a distance of 24miles! good times! yeah cant wait now for the week end! The view from my back garden! Oh and ps. I also have a quad

michael_t
Here are a few options, Dave is awesome it would be kind of funny having trials gear shipped FROM Canada for a change http://www.outlawtrials.com/index.php?category=Toolbelts&action=list&status=nothome
renegade master
Ok found a good rucksack for long trials riding, its not that cheap tho! (osprey escapist 32) hopfully I will be testing it out at week end, before I bought it, I purchased a 15l cycling backpack from 3bay but when it arrived it was way too small! so I splashed out on the escapist 32, I will post a pic up of the bag when I use it at the week end, also the hebo 1l front tank came! have to say this is a mighty pice of kit! not very noticeable on the front of the bike! and when filled the bike uses the fuel in the hebo tank first! very handy as you can see the levels at a glance!
