kimpybugalugs
Does anyone do lowering brackets for the TY mono foot pegs? I know Sammy Miller does them for the twinshock. I'm keen to avoid cutting and welding if I can. If I can't avoid cut and weld does anyone have any drawings to help fabrication?
bilks
Hi on mine i cut the original mountings off the frame and just rewelded it lower down
canada280i
Was it an easy job bilks? And are the benefits worth it. Also did you lower to the bottom of the frame tube, that sort of looks like the optimal place to me.
bilks
Yes just used a 4 1/2 inch angle grinder with a thin cutting blade.yes as close to the bottom so the foot pegs were just above sump shield level, felt more like riding a modern bike.than perched high up. kimpybugalugs
Hi Bilks. Thanks for the answer. My welding is not that great so I'll probably get a local welder involved. Any chance of some pics of your mod? Thanks.
