st3v3
Thought it was time to say hello, been riding bike for longer than I care to remember currently riding a ZX12R but never ridden a trials bike so decided it was time to take the plunge. First of all need to find a way to transport it, will it fit in the back of my l200 this was ruled out pretty quick even if it did fit its a long way up so a quick search of evil bay sees me buying a dave cooper rack for £24, next problem is if I do buy one where can I practise another net search comes up with earl shilton trials club so joined with practise membership. Right need to find a bike a bit of searching around and I've done a deal on an 02 edition 280 txt gas gas. First time out was fun no one else there which gave me the chance to get acquainted with my bike probably not ridden as a trial but gave me a feel for the bike and the ground as I fell a few times but apart from that I'm all happy. The second outing there was a few other members there got talking to one who showed me a few sections the last couple the front end seemed to be washing out a little which was fun and don't think I made a total fool of myself. Went to get a drink and noticed the front tyre looked a little low looks like I picked a puncture up so that it for today. Got home decide to fix the puncture wheel out tyre off obvious where the puncture is seeing as the tube is in my hand and the valve still in the wheel. New tube ordered and a set of fork seals as 1 of them is leaking. for anyone interested here's the 12

the addict
Welcome Steve, Earl Shilton is a great club and I've seen there is ongoing work there to make things even better. Stick a heavy Duty tube in the front, should deal with most stuff. Lots of info and helpful/knowledgeable people on here to help you along, enjoy.
