francley50
I want to change the fork oil and, reading the manual, it says to measure the new fork oil amount with the spring removed. (160mm gap from the oil to the top of the extended fork tube). That's fair enough - but how do you get the spring/rod out? . I have the fork legs out of the clamps. I can undo the fork caps. Can't see how the spring/rod disconnects from the cap. . Any help very gratefully received, thanks.
duggan
Pull the spring and plastic spacer down to expose a locking nut on the damper rod, think it's a 15mm. Holding the locking but with a spanner you'll then be able to undo the top cap from the damper.
francley50
Superb, concise, advice thank you, Duggan. That's the first one done and I'll take care of the second one in the morning. Thanks again, Chris.
