jimmyl
My list of 4rt musts PTB Case saver on front sprocket 2 bits of 10mm rod welded to footrest hanger supports ala future racing 4 bits of mesh on mudguard to stop muck going into air box Mitani sump shield or similar X lite tyres tank of fuel Big smile -compulsory The rest is just bling and personal preferences FYI - bought 2015 std Mont at very good price. Fitted my old bits as above. Picked up a good value Ohlins on Flea bay - thinks its better but hard to really. Like the front tech forks - front feels better than my old 09 Put a pre 2014 rear mudguard on as fed up with getting wet. Bike is spot on and love riding it. Personally would only change a front pipe to a larger di to soften power unless you have lots of money to spend.
trialsash965
Where you fitting the 4 bits of mesh? Just bought a 4rt really enjoying it but the air filter gets stinking every ride, half a ton of mud around it when I remove the rear guard , it's a 16 and there's a plastic piece under the rear guard does anybody tape this area up? or is the muck entering from the front do you think? Thanks
cornishtwinspring
The mesh covers the 4 holes in the mudguard where the "seat" is. Prevents large bits falling through into the airbox aperture.
jj65
This is what I do, you can spray it (body filler alloy mess, halfords) black if you prefer. Cut it slightly bigger than the holes, mold it to the shape underneath and use electrical tape around the edges. Very cheap and neat and stops all the crap getting to the air filter.
