suzuki250
Never put the beamish on the back only my gasgas, which around 70kgs same as the nose weight of the towbar/car so I’m only the weight of the rack overweight Saw a corsa sunday with a rack fitted, they only have a 50kg nose weight! craigh88
Fitted mine to a focus, BMW 1 series, BMW e46 3 series and shortly (this weekend) to be fitted to my latest 1 series. Also had the same rack fitted to my defender when I had it. Never had a problem although the Defender was the only one where I could honestly forget about the extra weight on the back while driving along.
english electric
there is a way to work it out the caravan club have all the data in regards to bike racks being fitted and how much you deduct for the caravan towing weight/ nose weight. I think off top of my head approx. 7% which is part of the towing code . and must not exceed maxiumum vertical towing load and be aware the vehicle may have lower towing capacities than the towbar its self
winchman
Just posted this on another post http://www.caravanclub.co.uk/media/6678669/noseweights-mo.pdf As I see it you have to weigh the rack and bike and assuming its under the nose weigh you are fine. Also make sure your insurance know the vehicle has a tow bar fitted
