aldy13
Hi I have just back into trials after a 30 year break with a 1997 Beta Techno, bikes starts and runs fine, spark plug is a nice light brown colour the only problem is after blipping the throttle it seems to take an age to return to tick over. The throttle grip is nice and free and the cable is not sticking or anything, any ideas please? Thanks Andy Edited August 9, 2015 by aldy13

steve_earle
I agree with air leak. Inlet rubber leaking, Flywheel side crank seal gone, Blocked pilot or water in the fuel. Also could be blocked fuel tank breather or crud in the tank.
aldy13
Thanks for the replies guys, I'm pretty sure the carb jets are ok as I have stripped it and blown all through the jets with compressed air, but I will check the tank breather and the inlet rubber for leaks. If its the flywheel crank seal is the seal accessible from behind the stator? Thanks Andy
steve_earle
You can remove the flywheel and stator and change the seal from the outside. Good luck finding the problem.
