It seems to me you got a complete RTL motor in your frame, if so did the RTL have a lifter standard? if so try rigging up the RTL method? Another way is to drop the compression by fitting extra gasket, spacer under the barrel taking the strain off the kickstart mech. I gave a lift to a guy who had a flat doing the hooper national a couple of years back, he got a TLR 250 with an RTL motor fitted, there cant be many of those about??? Andy..

Yep and thanks for the lift again Andy (simon!) Whats the RTL method, dont want to alter the compression as the motor runs nice as it is. K

Hi dude. Looks like you need to drill and tap that plug, pop in some all thread with a nut and washer other end to plug and gently tap against the washer till the plug comes out. It looks to me like its press fitted into the standard seal for the lifter.Cheers andy..

Yes that worked, did on wed eve but used a socket & tightened it down and it gently pulled the plug out. Orderd a seal, Honda part since they are Honda size only and not available off the shelf, just waiting on that to then put it together and get to use the old beast again.
