laird387
Darlington & D.M.C, Charity Trial, Braidley, Sunday. A real proper old fashioned trial ran on Sunday in Coverdale where ninety nine riders assembled for the Darlington Motor Club’s charity trial. Maybe Darlington is AMCA. affiliated but that matter did not deter some big names from various Centres heading for Braidley on Sunday. Some arrived on Saturday. Paul Lonergan brought his Gas Gas from Colchester to sample the splendid two lap twenty five section course that ran right across the River Cover and way out onto the east moors. Some sections were used as early as the Gerald Simpson British sidecar championship trials. Fourteen section were out on those lofty moors with seven nestling below the Lambert farmstead. The old fashioned descriptive term was emphasised was that the course crossed the main road through the villages- twice, after section nineteen at Lamberts and after the last two sections at Braidley. It was a real cracking ride out in the north Yorkshire dale. Results Hard course experts: Richard Sadler (Beta) 7, 2 Tom Hick (Beta) 28, 3 Rob Waite (Beta) 28.
