bikespace Posted September 28, 2005 Report Share Posted September 28, 2005 It's not one you're going to find easy to get past Health and Safety, and the Risk Assessment could be a bit of a sh^t too, so it's not one for the workplace really either. My comments were meant in jest but I suppose I better put in a disclaimer - If you have any doubt that you may cause injury to you or anyone else (probably 99% of people don't have a safe area to do this) then don't do it. But, if you have the ability to put an electric hotplate on a hardstanding, with very good ventilation (not just outdoors), with very little around it, and control access to the area, then have access to turn the hotplate off from a safe distance, you've minimised the risks.
