cliff montesa
Hi, Could anybody shed any light on why the kickstart is fouling with the rear brake lever. It is the original brake lever and does not appear bent or anything. The kickstart is a new item from Inmotion that is supposed to be the correct one for the 349. cleanorbust
Sorry can't offer a 100% answer other than to suggest the new kickstart doesn't have as much of an outward crank as the original - have you compared the two in this way? Is there some scope to move the kickstart outboard a bit on its shaft? It looks possible from the photo. Aside from that could you post a photo of the complete bike? Looks as though you have done a very clean restoration.

I will dig out the old one and compare, I suspect it is not quite exactly the same as an original one. Few pictures of the bike as it is at the moment and during the project. Still a bit to do yet! 2stroke4stroke
I'm sure I've seen 349s with the brake pedal trimmed a bit. Whether to solve your problem or to avoid rocks I don't know.
