richierich
Does anyone know of any particular aftermarket top yoke for a 4RT (06/07) which has conventionally positioned bar clamps? By conventional, I mean not tilted back like the standard HRC ones fitted. Would prefer a fat bar option too if possible but not a deal breaker. My problem is that being 6'2" I feel the bars are too close to me and tipping them far enough forward speeds up the steering too much for me. Many thanks. stkman
I used the VMAR top clamp on my 2005 4RT ... they suit 2005-2008 models. Uses straight rather than angled clamps. http://www.vmar.com/tripleclamp.html
aussiechris
I would dearly like to find a set of triple clamps that would give more steering lock. Coming from a Gas Gas or Beta, I find this is the biggest problem with the Montesa. It just doesn't turn tight. Yes, I know I should learn to hop and do tricks more but I'm too old for that, and it's not much good in a no-stop trial. Chris.
windwelder
Hi I converted mine, Cut or mill off the clamps, weld up the holes and machine it flat and tap them to take renthal fat bar clamps or S3s excellent adjustable clamps.
