ajock
Renewing bearings on standard ty wheels, old ones had inner seal removed and grease packed from side to side. New bearings are fully sealed. Should i remove inner seal and grease or leave them sealed and assemble dry. p.s. fitting with new alloy spacer. Thanks in advance. tony27
You can remove the inner seal with a very thin screwdriver or pick & pack more grease into the bearing before refitting the seal if you feel it's needed otherwise just fit the bearings with both seals still in place
trialsrfun
Keeping the outer seal that covers the bearing is more important as well as NOT squirting a jet was at the hub area.
2stroke4stroke
I've seldom opened a bearing and found an adequate amount of grease. I refill with waterproof grease.
