laird387
The Wetherby Motor Club reluctantly cancelled their Stan Cox Memorial Trial scheduled for Sunday November 1st at the Pateley Bridge Bayliss Gap Farm trials venue. The heavily wooded area south of Pateley Bridge, venue of the acclaimed world championship trial in 1993, has been blanketed by torrential rain for several days. Club Secretary Mrs Margaret Myers has had to cancel three trials planned for Bayliss Gap. The second trial ran but at Toft Gate Farm. The Club have no plans to seek an alternative date for the Stan Cox Trial.
telecat
Isn't there an agreement that the land or parking area cannot be used if there is more than a few days of rain in the week prior to the trial? As long as the land is still available when the weathers ok I do not see the problem. Keeping land access fro Trialling has to be a priority. Hi, Don't forget many landowners allow us access to their land, increasingly in spite of local mutterings from comers-in not used to country life. For clubs the ultimate priority is to totally respect the landowners wishes - and if that means missing a trial or two on order to keep the local complainers off the landowners case - then THAT is THE PRIORITY.
