lockie28
Right lads , The gap was set incorrect on the plug. I set it at 0.006 doh!! I'll rectify it in the morning ( the bike comes before wrapping parcels) And let yous know if it's running sweeter

b40rt
It's £1.50 for a plug, why wouldn't you eliminate this from the equation ?
lockie28
1) it's Christmas everywhere is closed. 2) I live in a remote area ( no bike shops ) 3) after Christmas when places are open I will order one ( and wait patiently for the 4-5 days to pass) for delivery to my area. Does that answer your question buddy

collyolly
If you google small spark plug gap you will see it is possibly the cause of some of your problems, erratic running, unburnt fuel, running rich etc Re set it, give it a thorough clean and hopefully away you go. lockie28
Cleaned up the spark plug and set the gap to the correct setting today and it started and ran ten times better Can't complain at that! Thanks everyone for your help on this and have a great Christmas Cheers Ian
