dr nick
I`ve just put new bearings on the front wheel and going to start changing the fork oil . While stripping my front end down ,I noticed that the r/h side bracket that holds the front fender onto the forks has snapped ,right where it clamps up with the bolt. How do I get a new one on ,....the old one will just snap off,but cant see the new one opening up wide enough without snapping. It looks like I have to strip the forks down just to change it,and if thats the case it doesnt seem worth the effort to do it Unless stripping the forks down is a lot easier than it looks The bike is a 98 Techno Regards N Edited January 15, 2004 by Dr Nick
ronm
Hi Doc, This was not uncommon. Several companies sell aftermarket replacements that are 2 piece machined from solid. They usually are sold each, so yo do not have to buy both if you do not care about them matching.
