Seems to be a pattern occurring with my mates txt..... problematic

Firstly will only start on the choke....... any ideas?

secondly any wet action and it gets in the airbox and doesn't drain out of the little reed valve.... some tape over airbox cover should sort this

Lastly and most worrying engine is starting to sound a bit rattly... top end .... bottom end have no idea to be honest

From you title it sounds like you are breeding them

All TXT's rattle, its normally the clutch

Watch you don’t block the air from entering the airbox, you will have even more problems. Better to fix the valve at the bottom?

If it’s hot and you need the choke, have a look on youtube for videos setting the carb

I cleaned the valve out last time. But this time when it started bogging down a little I pulled the whole valve out and loads of water came out. As if the weight of the water isn't enough to open it. I left it out for the rest if the day

My 04 Gasgas had a rubber sheet splash guard cable tied to the frame ,visible when the airbox was removed.A mate had an 03 which didn't have it and a different airbox which would have been a good aquarium, the dirty water ruined the motor.Id recommend getting the later airbox and splash guard.Richard Allens Trialspares would be a good place to start
