petrg
I still have no spark after sending my stator off for a rewind. I was experiencing hard starting and eventually wouldn't start at all. Checked the obvious, spark plug, coil, HT lead all connections. so sent stator off. just fitted it and still no spark. Checked all connections again and cleaned. I suspect the CDI, but at £170 am reluctant to spend that until I know there is nothing else it can be.?? Thanks
worldtrialchamp
usually stator fail on the Rev, less often the CDI...really nothing else goes wrong. first make sure you've isolated the kill switch as a possible fault
petrg
stator was rewound yesterday, so I am presuming that works fine now and was tested before being sent back to me. kill switch is disconnected!!!!
steve_earle
seen a complete electrical kit for a rev 3 on an auction site, Looks a bargain.

dadof2
Who rewound it for you? There is one company I have heard of where some stators come back from no better than when they were sent.
steve_earle
I'd agree with Dadof, I've had experience with certain specialists, been chasing my ar5e for problems when it was the stator sent back untouched. There are some good ones but there is a couple that seem on another planet. I have seen a few Techno and 1 Rev cdi fail over the years but normally on a new ish bike, Very rare but there is the odd Friday unit about. jfc
Can you borrow a cdi from a mates bike or fit your stator to his bike and eliminate it as the problem?
petrg
jfc my son has a rev 3 and thought great, i will just swap bits over. sadly my bike is a 2000 model and the stator changed in 2003!!!!
