lockie28
I've got a trick for that
thesolidman1
Had the same thing, oil appeared whitish in the sight glass. Unscrewed the sight glass and everything looked normal inside. Drained the oil, it looked normal as well. Cleaned the sight glass, and replaced with new oil, problem went away. BTW don't clean sight glass with carb cleaner or the like, despite what the others say. It distorts the plastic slightly and ruins the clarity of the sight glass. Good luck to you
oldgrumps
What's the trick? Rode today and during the ride saw white fog on the glass. After ride just a tiny white residue remains. Will see how it looks in the morning.
steve_earle
Don't worry about it if the oil is fine after a drain, It's just the cold weather and moisture in the air inside the box separating. I get this in both mine and my son's Evo.
oldgrumps
I live in Hawaii, the air temp only gets down to the uppers 50's right now, and that's almost record temps. There is dew outside but my bike is in my enclosed garage. I'm going to rule out condensation. If I keep seeing moisture in the oil I might change the oil seal.
