wheeliebealie
Try holding the throttle open just enough to take the slack out of the cable when you kick it over. I don't use hot start at all.

crazybond700
An if you leave it some time? Could be petrol that has flown into the engine
lineaway
The intake manifold is very weak on the 4t. It could be you have damaged it.
pudrev3
Intake seems ok , I can smell petrol when the bike is running don't know if that could be something
benbeta23
Is the fuel tap in the correct position? It should be facing upwards, If it's downwards it won't shut the fuel supply off when the bike is on it's side, It's an electronic tap, If the bike won't run right with it in the upwards position the tap has failed. pudrev3
That's got me thinking ...... About a month ago it would start after a fall ..... It has always been in a straight line ........ Then suddenly I'm getting a strong smell of petrol when it's running and now it won't start after a fall .... Could that be a sign of the electronic tap failing ??

madmostin
In my experience. If my 4t didn't start. I'd hold throttle wide open for a few prods. Then close it and it will start. The 5 mins you're waiting is for the excess fuel to evaporate. Or don't crash. Simples
steve_earle
This bike will improve your riding, It will make you more sure not to crash.
