billycraig
Has anyone been successful in getting a new 300RR insured for the road? The current insurance company I'm using for my 2015 260 doesn't recognise the 300, and so far neither do any of the others I've tried. hondamont
Mines insured with Devitt insurance.
gasserguy
MSM, One of the only firms that will knowingly insure a trials bike now. Bennetts won't touch them unless it's a auto renewal and all the trial bikes have been removed from the drop down options on Go Compare and the other comparison / insurance company web sites. Reason given is poor security such as lack of ignition key and steering locks etc! http://www.msminsurance.co.uk/
the addict
Bennetts won't touch them unless it's a auto renewal and all the trial bikes have been removed from the drop down options Did mine with Bennetts no problem, sometimes you need to call to insure and not rely on an antiquated website. 70 quid for an old un tpft. But if they know it has no ignition key or steering lock they will cancel the policy..
montesa300rr
This is the only option for trials bikes http://www.msminsurance.co.uk/ Others won't pay if it gets stolen !
jimmyl
I have used MSM for several years now with very good service as as you know they understand what a trials bike is. Also they cover you in a trial for 3rd part etc rather than most which exclude use in trials. With RTA insurance now included in your entry fee this is less of a USP. This makes some of the standard road policies more viable so long as they list the model/make etc and there is no small print stating steering lock must be locked etc if you report it stolen. The above came to mind minutes after renewing again with MSM. The above is no use to Billy thou as the RR isn't listed
jj65
A lot of policies won't cover over £5k either.
shedracer
I think MSM will only cover max £8000, but that will cover Billy's 300RR.
billycraig
Brilliant thanks, MSM it is then
tom675
Msm are specialists but you must have squeaky clean driving history, no points, claims, etc I got my mine insured through carol nash in the end. But its getting very hard to find cover on trials bikes now
