slack
Hi all i am thinking of buying an 04 rev 3 but would like to know if this year and model had any issues. I know about casing and stator problems but is there any thing else i need to check for, also how do you date the bike to make sure it is an 04 or a later or earlier model. Thanks
lineaway
The `04 had a 4 bolt rear sprocket, kind of orange/red graphics.
bilks
The model range here also check Red for 2004 rear shock for damping with the adjuster at the top of it. can be expensive to repair or replace Front forks muguard support bracket is across top of the forks not up and over as in earlier models,2005 onwards have black coated fork stantions, also the filter support brackets not cracked or broken will makes the rear mudguard sit a lot lower. but only about £15 each to replace. you can also check my profile and see a pic of my 2004 Rev 3 Check out both of these links http://www.betausa.com/node/751 http://www.motomerlin.co.uk/moto/motobeta.html Edited February 2, 2016 by bilks
slack
Hi guys thanks for the replies to my questions I will look out for the issues bilks pointed out. I've never had beta's before so don't know the power or riding ability of these bikes, I've always rode gas gas.
