ric h
Does switching from ajp to bk master cylinder make for a significantly lighter clutch pull? My 2011 Ossa has a very stiff clutch compared to some other models.Anyone?
baldilocks
It's the clutch pack thickness not the master cylinder
mazz46
Other way round a ajp better then braktec in my opinion?

arnoux
Agree Braktec and AJP internals the same. Look elsewhere for your stiff clutch. Did anyone put DOT4 in your mineral clutch and swell the seals perhaps? Or plate fibres too thick.
ric h
Thanks for the replies.Nothing but mineral oil in it for sure.I'll have to pull it apart to check the height of the clutch plate stack.
canada280i
If you lay the bike all the way over you can take the clutch cover off without draining the oil, also makes it easier to centre the spring when putting it back together
ric h
Ok,lapped the friction plates to get the stack to 9.75 from 9.88.Went together really easily. The lever pressure is VERY nice now,but the clutch still drags badly.I probably rushed it a bit bleeding the system because my fluid level was low.I'll have a couple of beers and bleed it again tomorrow.Fun tinkering! Thanks everyone.Esp canada280i Edited March 12, 2016 by ric h
