nigel dabster
I think all trials bike manufacturers fall below the volume level - including Montesa johnny you say this because of honda link?
johnnyboxer
johnny you say this because of honda link? I do, Honda being a massive Corp and producing the most motorcycles of any manufacturer, has to comply with the regs in EEC (Rest of World, ABS isn't mandatory) Keeping the Montesa name, not only for nostalagia and marketing - allows them a niche, I guess Another example is the old aircooled Suzuki DR350 engine, last sold by Suzuki in 1999/2000 and won't meet world wide emission regs nowadays But you can still buy the same DR350 Suzuki engine and airbox/carb set up, brand new from Beta in 2016, sold as the Beta Alp4 trailbike Beta don't have to meet the same regs, as they are a low volume manufacturer
