lockie28
Hi all. What gearing does everyone use? I'm riding a 250 Evo , rear 41 tooth .. Front 11 tooth 1st seems too low to use for anything 2nd is better but still very low! 3rd I use for most things in a section 4th still too low to ride from A-B 5th for riding to and from my playground! Tips on sprocket sizes would be grateful to smooth things out a bit Cheers Ian Edited March 13, 2016 by lockie28

2stroke4stroke
I don't think anyone else has had a problem with the standard gearing so will have no alternative advice to offer. Though some used to go up a tooth for the SSDT, but that is a different matter.
lineaway
Do you actually ride in a club? Third is very wrong in most sections. Beta`s always had a low first, I always used a 10t counter shaft sprocket. Usually rode most sections in second, gave it a good low gear for tight, tight sections with a useable third for climbs and large splatters. heffergm
Yeah, if you're riding third gear in competition sections for anything other than very big hits, something is wrong. You'll find just about everyone in the clubman range rides 1st or 2nd gear depending on their particular preference, bikes transmission and gearing.
