cross1
Hello! I am new in the world of trial so i need to learn a lot. I have just purchased 2003 315r for and it is so much fun to ride. What I have noticed during my first few rides is that radiator fan is running a lot. This means that soon after sturtup it starts running and is runing more or less the whole time. The bike doesn`t owerheat yet, but I don`t know what will happen in a summer months. Is this normal? I have checked coolant and it`s ok. Radiator is not blocked. I am riding mostly tails in 3rd, 4th gear, so I gues wind mooving trough the radiator should cool the engine enough to switch of the fan. Here is allsoa few pics of my new machine! crazybond700
Fans are on quite often, so its a bit difficult to say if yours is acting normal or not. As long as it does not trow out fluids, and has enough coolant and runs normal there should be no problem. Nice cover, read somewhere other you made it your self? Care to share? cross1
The process is called vacum forming. Basically you heat a sheet of plastic, put it over the cover and vacum out the air.
caravan_monster
It could be running a bit lean from an air leak or lean jetting. I find my 315 fan mostly comes on at slow speed in first or second gear.
