laird387
Meeting up at the 2016 Ilkley Grand National, a couple of old friends who have been heavily involved all their adult lives, Marcus Smoley and Eric Kitchen. Marcus was actively involved as an organiser of trials and charity events, whereas Eric Kitchen is the doyen of all offroad motorcycle sport photographers, particularly involved in the SSDT and Scott trials, as well as being the driving photographic force of the early days of TMX. But where did their friendship first blossom - sharing a billet during National Service in the Royal Air Force in the 1950s, that's where. Soon after that Marcus and I first met when he was visiting Bob Scoffins, one of my neighbours, whose personal genius stemmed from an intimate understanding of the secrets of panel beating damaged cars, Photographed by another life-long friend, Barry Robinson.
