classicguy
Hello, I am intending to start trials riding again. I haven't entered a competition since the 1980's and that was at a club meeting, I was never asked for a licence. The only licence I can find is the ACU Competition Licence international trials, is this the licence I need? I will only be doing club events. Thanks currently restoring a Montesa
suzuki250
Join a local club, they will give you a membership number to obtain a licence from the ACU you can still do it the old way with a form (you will still need a membership number) : https://www.acu.org.uk/RidersMembers/License-Forms.aspx Edited March 26, 2016 by suzuki250

classicguy
do crash helmets still need the ACU sticker on?
hanks
No sticker required. You'll struggle to find a trials helmet with a sticker on.!
mickwren
You don't ge an ACU Licence for Trials you need aTrials Registration which costs £10 then instead of having a licence you pay a levy each time you ride
2stroke4stroke
Helmet needs to meet the requirements for road use and bear the appropriate numbers in whatever form they use nowadays.
2stroke4stroke
Helmet needs to meet the requirements for road use and bear the appropriate numbers in whatever form they use nowadays. Unless you have an old one with a then current sticker/standard as there is no age limit, though caution may say otherwise.
