spen
How much oil did you put in?

axulsuv
Did you change the spring spacer ? maybe your getting more total compression than it should have , eliminating the air space ... Just a thought ! Glenn
scorpa250
No all standard in side the legs, i had a montesa that used to hiss when compressing the legs . I have had in excess of 15 fantic's and never come across this before .
axulsuv
HHMMNN... Progressive spring upside down so its displacing more oil ?

spen
Are the springs you put in to replace the old ones 'bigger' and therefore displacing more oil than the originals? Can you do a side by side check?

spen
Hmmmmm, I'd be looking at the air gap on both forks.....
scorpa250
If i open the bleed screws and leave loose no problem , So why when tight the air pressure keeps going up until it forces oil past the seals ? release pressure and no leaks . action of forks are good Edited April 2, 2016 by scorpa250
axulsuv
Does it have the spring loaded check valve caps ?
czrider
Hi there, having exactly the same problem with my Fantic 240! Had to put 300 forks in it due to the guy I loaned it to once, trashing the original forks in a massive crash. It was my fault apparently for loaning him a substandard machine! Oil leaking from the pressure relief caps but really nice smooth, progressive action.
