Leonelli Kill Switch Grease

After having a few problems with my kill switch (which ended up being an issue elsewhere now resolved) I've pulled it apart and cleaned it up, originally it had a clear grease inside and I'm just wondering if anyone knows what type of grease is used? It looks like a silicone grease, it was transparent and non-conductive. I assume the grease is used to only provide anti-corrosive properties and lubrication for the mechanism.

I did notice that the grease was also all over the metal plate that bridges the contacts inside the switch. I've done a quick bit of reading about dielectric grease and most recommendations are to not place it on electrical contact surfaces. Is it possible in this case that the force of the magnet is strong enough to negate any grease on the contact surfaces?

I haven't pulled one apart so would not know for sure, however it is common to put it in blade connectors and other types of connectors and they work fine when assembled with the grease in them so I would guess that is the case.
