katana
Just thought I would share. I am fitting a new disk and pads to my 2001. I would have rebuilt the caliper, but the supplier forgot to order it. When I pushed back the pistons, I noticed that there was seepage from the hose connecting the reservoir to the master cylinder. I believe that this was the main factor to 'loosing' my rear brake continually. The hose is most likely also the original, but it seems odd that there is no clip to pinch the hose onto the fitting. collyolly
Pipe to the reservoir is not a pressure line, all it does is keep the master cylinder topped up as the pads wear and the Pistons move forward. A leak from this line will not give you a problem with brake performance.
katana
It will introduce air into the system though. Right at the master cylinder.
martinrjh
If the reservoir was full prior to pushing the pistons back, the excess fluid will have been forced past the loosest hose connection...
katana
Gotcha, but the cap was open.
crazybond700
I had a leak in the line once on my gg. The shock had hit it I think. Gives problems with air in the system on the long run.
