heffergm
That's funny... they still won't let the dealer near me (in the US) even sell the 2016 he has.

dwb5151
It still has one problem though the price £5750. There a great bike but over priced.
heffergm
I don't think it's over priced given the build and the technology. But whether anyone will want to pay that much is a completely different story.
copemech
They sure changed a lot of stuff for a bike that was soo well designed to begin with!
2stroke4stroke
I have to say copemech that I read the list of improvements with a wry smile.
evo boy
But if they didn't change anything no one would buy the latest version..
collyolly
Think back to the early ty250 monos, they went virtually unchanged for about 5 years and Yamaha sold loads of them. They were the clubmans favourite, were never campaigned at world level but must have changed the sport more than any other bike. the dabster
I have owned a factory Gas Gas, Factory Sherco, Factory Beta and latterly a combat and I would say the Vertigo in direct contrast is reasonably priced for what you get without a doubt. They have changed things as time has gone on and better options were found, the bigger water pump and transparent tank being good example's of amendments that improve the original package. I would say the design is very, very good indeed. Personal opinion. I don't like not getting my monies worth!

But whether anyone will want to pay that much is a completely different story. In the UK the current Vertigo Cambat Camo is £5750 The Gas Gas 250 is £5450. heffergm
In the US the price difference is around $2000.00... ~1500 pounds.
jonnyc21
I wonder how many of the updates one could get for there current Vertigo... Depending on how they ride some of them might be worth doing...
2stroke4stroke
But if they didn't change anything no one would buy the latest version..There is nothing different about a manufacturer introducing changes on a new model months after the previous model but this is where we discover how well the unique Vertigo sales model works. If I understand it correctly (am I right?) you can't trade in your young in months "old" model for the new improved one, but how keen will potential purchasers be to buy from you what those who care about these things see as the outdated one? crazybond700
Second hand bikes will sell, no problem. THere are people who always want and can buy the newest bikes, there are people who dont want to pay new prices and go for ''new'' second hand bikes. And there are people who go for old bikes. Even 10 year old bikes sell... The bikes dont lose value anymore once that old, owner buys parts to keep it running, everybody is happpy!
