barfy
Over the past few days it must have got so hot in the garage that the stickers have started to lift on the edge in a few places. I tried to just stick them back down using masking tape to hold them in place but it hasn't worked. Would it be ok to use a bot of Evo Stick or does anyone have another suggestion? eagle8
You pommys don't know what HOT is;) i just pull them back a bit, make sure surface is clean then apply some silicone, Plumbers type & push it back down, sometimes i might put a bit of masking tape over it to hold it down, wait about 24hrs all's good

Did you really need to ask that question , or did some 7 year old hack your account ?
fxstbi
Good question. If the bike is new I take a heat gun and get the stickers really hot and pliable so you can form them to the surface while wearing gloves, usually the heat reactivates the glue and makes them pliable so they stay down. If the stickers are loose and have some dirt on the adhesive side I take acetone on a q-tip and clean the dirt off, some glue comes off too, that's ok, clean the substrate too. Then I use 3M 77 adhesive, sprayed into a cup and use an acid brush to brush glue onto the sticker and the substrate. Make sure you get glue on both surfaces so there are no un-glued edges or this won't work very well. After the glue tacks up I press the sticker in place and hit it with the heat gun again. I wait until the next day and clean any glue off with acetone, just be careful using acetone on plastic it can damage the surface. I've used this technique on new and used bikes with good results every time and it works with any graphic that has become loose on any part of the bike.
petorius
Seemed like a perfectly reasonable question to me.
barfy
LoL GasGas!! As you well know I'm used to 1990's bikes where you can buy a set of stickers for £10 and you can replace them when you get a bit of lifting or just because you can. So it's not something that I'm used to doing... When my lad can ride a 250 then I'll introduce him to the joys of riding the RTL in a trial rather than just around the car park. Eagle 8, knew I could find someone who thought 40C in the garage was chilly. Fxstbi and Eagle 8, thank you both for excellent guidance. Peterius, thank you for your support. I know GasGas and wouldn't expect anything different from a many who is into 1990's Spanish bikes rather than far superior 1990's Japanese works of art.
