amiller
Just wondering if any of you that were there could help with a little info? Even though the people that were there from our club were not chosen by the club, they decided to represent us against our wishes. A vote was taken prior to the meeting over doing a national and was decided no nationl for this season. Well, somehow we are now on the schedual. The 2 from our club that were there insist they were pressured at the meeting to do so even after explaining that our club had voted against a national. Just looking for some outside views from anyone that was there. Thank You...

alan bechard
C'mon Craig I was not there Mr. Miller, so beat's me, but a couple of thoughts from the side. www.natctrials.org Brian's report on there seems to indicate that what your rep's said about maybe a little arm twisting or pressure could be true. He does state that not many came forward wanting to hold events. I would suggest calling on some of the reps that were there directly or maybe e-mailing them, as I would bet that the story will vary slightly as to what they would be willing to report on an open board. Jim Watson is an very experienced rep and he was there from TI, and Dan Brown was there from STRA. I am sure either of these gents would be happy to speak with you about your concerns. Maybe contact Brian B himself would be a straight forward approach. I do wonder how your club had 2 reps, but I am guessing one was there as club rep and one as an importer. It will probably make for an interesting discussion how a club took a formal vote and voted against having an event, then found themselves on the National schedule. Anyway, best of luck and hope you guys resolve it satisfactorily.
amiller
I have been assured by Brian that there was no arm twisting. Furthermore, I am told there was no representation from our side that was against the national. I also have that confirmed from another source that was in attendance. One person from our club is a so called diplomat and the other was our last national organizer who happened to get us the last national that we did not want. Was this person Carl Peters?
amiller
Carl was not at the meeting last year.... My question is not about who did what but more about an honest account of what happened and how things came about. All I was interested in is both sides of the story.
