I have a 315r 2000 which is bog standard, to save the like of me asking questions that others who are much more knowledgeable thinking "thats been asked a 100 times"

Was there ever a thread or an article written that went through the 315 and pointed out its evolution and possible ways that the older bike could be improved.

For a starter I'm aware that dimpled clutch plates are a big improvement, what about brakes, engine oil, exhaust etc ?

thanks

If it isn't already done: replace the air filter cover with an open one and remove the restrictors in the exhaust.

Mount special link plates, which raise the rear a bit, makes the rear suspension more lively.

And decoke the exhaust for max power.

I think I better get the exhaust off

is there any jetting changes needed with the restrictors out and airbox cover cover opened up ?

thanks

Any ideas where I can get an open cover or is it a matter of making or nodding an old one?
