jimmyl
As the weekend arrives and my trials preparation starts again I realised things have changed as I have got older I now fettle the bike more by touch and memory as the bolts seem harder to find without glasses My kit bag has more body supports than riding gloves I walk stream more to ease my aching feet than finding rocks I am slowly getting a better shine on my head than my Shoei Riding gear is more comfy and warm than skin tight and trendy I use more radox than red bull Hats are more for warmth than fashion A pre trial warm up and stretch has more chance of wearing me out and putting my back out rather than limbering me up Kids are looking younger Veterans are now my riding buddies Anybody else noticed these things

cleanorbust
Old??? Pah! I started trials 40-odd years ago but I'm not getting older. Just more experienced.
dan williams
Good for you clean. I'm definately getting older. I enjoy the ride but not so much the aftermath. Those foot cramps on the way home are killers.
baldilocks
Hmm. Not disagreeing but our sports problems are set out above. Majority of riders are actually veterans Edited September 16, 2016 by baldilocks
lineaway
Ha! I quit trying to out ride my kid! I still stretch fine, as I was more limber than my fat ass revealed. I enjoy a Vintage trials as much as a Modern event. I dropped down a class to make Monday much easier. My fanny pack now has beer instead of parts! I still enjoy every ride as much as I did as a teenager!
theluckyone
Ha ha so now you know how I feel... Even though I ride a lot less now I totally agree with Lineaway I still enjoy every ride as much as I did as a teenager. At a recent trial I was delighted to hear one rider wish the other a happy birthday. They were both now in their 70th year and right then I decided that was my new goal...... to ride a trial on my 70th birthday. Only 12 and half years to go! Enjoy yourself its later than you think!
