sukahutan
Hi, I've bought a 1997 Fantic 250 (249) and I have air in the hydraulic clutch, I can see it in the transparent tube. I can't find anywhere to bleed it, nothing at the master cylinder and the tube goes down to the casing and there's nothing there either. Can anyone help with how you bleed the system, please? I've also got to find where the air is getting in and the master cylinder and especially the seals on the piston seem in good order. Thanks. whitehillbilly
Hi, The bleed nipple was where the Allen Bolt has now been put in. To get to the rear brake slave cylinder you must pull off the flywheel cover, pull off flywheel, then the inner cover can come off. Slave cylinder can now be seen. fantic240motor
Think your section is a 1996 not a 1997 as it has a steel frame. Not a big deal as most parts are the same. Also is that a mastic repair on the top of the rubber inlet manifold? If it is cracked I'd replace it before starting once you've fixed the clutch. An engine running at full chat due to an air leek is almost impossible to kill before the inevitable seizure.
