celeborn
Hey !So I just bought this Beta trials bike, but I can't seem to figure out what model or what year this bike is from. The guy I bought it from said it was a 50cc, but on the side it says Beta BT 76, so this leaves me to belive it is a 80cc ?Can anyone here tell me what the model name and possibly the year of this Beta ? I need to change the front fork oil and dust seals. I measured the outside diameter of the fork to be 38mm. Ya'll think these will fit ? http://www.ebay.com/itm/Fork-Oil-Seal-Dust-Seals-set-for-BETA-Techno-Evo-Rev3-SHERCO-Scorpa/321421388604?_trksid=p2047675.c100005.m1851&_trkparms=aid%3D222007%26algo%3DSIC.MBE%26ao%3D1%26asc%3D39007%26meid%3Dae5e1287b4444555a43acdaf233e8709%26pid%3D100005%26rk%3D1%26rkt%3D3%26sd%3D231824988052Thanks for any reply! sectionone
Beta Alp 80, 1990's?
celeborn
I think you got it sectionone! Can't seem to find very much info on them and I only find the 125cc + models.. It seems to be a mix between a trials and an enduro bike. Found a picture where a seat has been mounted http://advrider.com/index.php?threads/1999-beta-alp-questions.771495/page-2 If you find any site that has more information / parts for this model, please link me. aircooled4ever
I agree it's a synt 80 (a schoolboy bike) it's not an alp as these were trail derived and had rear footpeg mounts off the subframe
steve_earle
Looks like the same bottom end as the Rev/Evo 80 but without hydraulic clutch. It's actually the same as KTM SX 65 up to 2010. KTM parts are much cheaper than Beta!
celeborn
According to wikipedia https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Beta_(motorcycle_manufacturer) the Alp wasn't produced until the 2000's and have air-cooled Suzuki engines. The Synt was produced from -92 to -94. This bike is water-cooled and says Beta on the side. Therefore it must be a Synt, but what exact year I have not found out yet. However I have noticed that most of the bikes Beta produced in the 90's have upside down front forks. This one has right side up so maybe they have been replaced at some point, making my hunt for fork / dust seals more tricky.. Another thing to note is the exhaust neck seems to be different from the orignal Synt pictures I have found online.I am also missing the silencer for this bike. Ya'll think this Beta Synt 260 silencer will be ok, or will it be to much ?http://www.ebay.com/itm/1992-92-Synt-Beta-260-Might-Fit-125-240-Exhaust-Silencer-Muffler-/182068093357 Anyone know where I can find a saddle / seat that will fit this bike ? More pics, because we love pics:
