netley
I have obviously missed something but after re-assembling the clutch I find that the plates are ratting around like a dick up a sleeve. I'll pull it apart again tomorrow though you can see what the problem is here. Also will examine this which seems exactly the same as my 191 though mine has pins, not nuts to hold the springs. If anyone knows the source of my incompetence, I'd appreciate the advice and apologise in advance. Edited October 24, 2016 by netley
lanark
Hi Netley, The key bit in the lower video is at 13:30. The pressure plate only fits in one position where, when fitted over the studs, the cutouts on the inner face fit over the ridges on the clutch hub, as can be seen at 13:30 where the "hand" fits the pressure plate over the studs and keeps rotating it one stud at at time to find the position where the pressure plate slides home fully to clamp up the clutch plates. Hope this helps.

lanark
I can imaging the fight you must have had to get the retaining pins in with the pressure plate not seated properly!! When seated correctly it's not too bad to get the pins in.

guys
Get a decent manual, and a lot of these problems won't occur.
netley
I never thought it would go on in only one position on first inspection. I have a manual I bought from In Motion though I struggle with following written instruction. You live and learn eh?
