mcman56
Nice modification. I may try that also. One other issue with that model is the screen size. A couple of riders in this area have been hassled by rangers on public land. I believe the Forest Service requirement is to stop particles larger than 0.03". I have not measured but the hole size in the screen looks larger.
ridgrunr
I'm not understanding why they would bother to make and sell a spark arrestor that did not use USFS screen material. I mean, what's the point if you're still not legal? Looks like the screen is removed pretty easily. I guess a guy could get something like this, cut it to the size needed and put a USFS approved screen in it. Shouldn't have to go through this for $79 bucks though! https://www.procircuit.com/spark-arrestor-screen-07.html Edited November 28, 2016 by ridgrunr
thesolidman1
I have had Spanish Fly spark arrestors on 4 different bikes. I have never been questioned on the 'legality' of them.
