rynhardt
Hi everyone. My first time posting in this forum, excluding the one in introductions. Recently got into trials after 20 years of road riding. Got an Oset 12.5 for my son (4), followed soon after by an Oset 20 for myself. Which the wife then appropriated Anyway, am having some difficulty adapting to the clutchless electric thing. Plus the 20 is very potent.. My reflexes feel too slow and my muscle memory too deep to adjust easily. I've had a few "whiskey throttle" incidents, especially when attempting standing wheelies. The motor is stronger than the back brake, so I have not been able to catch the bike once it starts getting away from me. So. I made a mod. I put a throttle cutout switch on the rear brake lever. Now when I grab the rear brake the motor cuts out and the brake can do its job. Found it make a world of difference to me. Might be useful to someone else too..
