oneal121 Posted January 11, 2017 Report Share Posted January 11, 2017 Hi all, i need a little help my new to me gas gas jtx 250 as had a few minor problems. The throttle cable looked to be routed wrong running up the right hand side of the bike and out through the front of the frame with a big loop behind the number board. Can anyone please let know the correct throttle cable route. Also should the correct spark plug should it be a BPR5ES Or a BPR7ES as im getting conflicting information and my old spark plug is unreadable. \Thanks for any help in adavance Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

thats_a_five Posted January 14, 2017 Report Share Posted January 14, 2017 The stock plug is a #5 but if it fouls easily, go to a #7. One of the best resources is the set of youtube videos made by Jim Snell when he was the Gasgas importer. Search there or on google by his name or even GasGas maintenance and it's easy to find them. mung Posted February 22, 2017 Report Share Posted February 22, 2017 A little late but maybe think about this. BPR is an NGK. Going from a 5 to a 7 is two ranges colder. If you are fouling plugs with a 5, the 7 will be worse. If you are fouling plugs on a trialer there is some other issue than the plug that you need to fix. Good luck.
