ar22
our fan didnt come on this morning and she let out a puff of steam, tested the fan and its fine do the these switches give bother often ? I replaced one already on this bike a couple of years back and we dont ride very often. am I right in saying it should come on at approx 71 degrees when testing ? our does have continuity in boiling water but need to find a thermometer to test it properly thanks
copemech
I would think the thermo switch should close at closer to 95 C .
ar22
Fitted a new switch anyway On the obvious assumption that the new one works properly These wee things runs hot before the fan kicks in, but it kicked in the coolant was probably slightly overfilled as its hard not to, coolant just started to drip out the overflow, then the fan came on will call it a result
