Monty , Vee rubber are good tyres.Ive been riding for 25 years and have experience of all brands. Vee Rubber grip very well and i wouldnt hesitate in recommending them.

Ive tried them on a twinshock bike of mine was very pleased with the results i had.I ride mainly on mud , not rocks. They wore very well , but i dont tend to rev the hell out of my bikes , spinning tyres out at the start of sections etc.

3 club trials later they still have a sharp edge

As posted elsewhere if you want to save money in the long run buy a spare wheel and or compresor. Have a good tyre for hard events, a part worn for less important, drier trials and an duffer for the trials that it don't matter or practice.

This way you can have what you want when you want it.

Have you actually tried one though?

Yes. On a spare wheel possibly get away with it just for summer use but still not as good as a worn IRC. Only fit to put on a bike i was selling so i could sell as "fitted with new tyres". Just my humble opinion if you are happy with one fitted and dont mind losing a few marks because of it then fine. I would sooner spend the money and buy good tyres and know i have the best chance to get that good result. Tyres in every form of motor sport are cruical to getting a result. Then again thats just my opinion you fit what you like and good luck to you.

I had a pair on my Rev 3 for 2 seasons (says a lot, tight git that I am!). They are OK. Round our way (darn sarf) we have mud and a bit of sand and some roots. Can't comment on their rock performance, but they are OK for our terrain. The only problem I found (as others have mentioned) is that they have stiff sidewalls and so below 3 psi doesn't make any positive difference. In fact it may make the tread 'hollow' slightly.

For much of our trials season, grip was not compromised at my (middle route) level.

Having said that, if I have the extra
